Help Us Track Our Trails!

We’re always looking to enhance our understanding of trail usage and how that changes over time. Trail counters are one of our most valuable tools and helping us track trail traffic and the community's enjoyment of the trails across Linn County.

Here's how you can help:

  • Look for the trail counters at the designated locations shown on the map below.

  • ​​This is what a counter looks like, It is a simple sensor device.

  • ​​When you spot a counter, follow these simple steps.

    • Stop and read the numbers on the top of the counter.

  • Wave your hand in front of the sensor on the side to make sure the sensor is working-the numbers will advance 
(If you notice the numbers do not advance be
sure to check the box in the form below that says “Counter is not working.”)

 

  • ​​​Then, either:

    • Use your phone to scan the QR code on the side of the counter.

    • Enter the number count in the Trail Count form and drop your name/email in the comment section.

    • Hit Enter to submit it!

  • Or:

    • Take a picture of the counter​ numbers.

    • When you get home, use this form below to add your count.​​​
